NAVAL, Biliran – A priest of the Diocese of Naval was arrested Wednesday for violation of a US law on illicit sexual conduct.
Fr. Kenneth Bernard Pius Hendricks, an American citizen, and a priest of the Diocese of Naval, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued on November 11, 2018 by Hon. Stephanie K. Bowman, US Magistrate Judge of the US District Court for the District of Ohio.
Fr. Kenneth was charged for the offense of Engaging in Illicit Sexual Conduct in Foreign Places for violation of 18 U.S.C. & 2423 under United States Law with Case No. 1:18MJ-719.
Police officers from the Biliran Police Provincial Office (BPPO) and Naval Police Station escorted the personnel of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Fugitive Search Unit headed by Intelligence Officer III Bobby R. Raquepo, and Juan Bortfield, Deputy Attache of the Homeland Security Investigation of the US Embassy.
He was arrested around 11:00 a.m. at the office of the Diocese of Naval, and was brought to the Biliran Provincial Hospital for medical examination.
Fr. Kenneth was brought by the arresting team at around 1:00 p.m. to Tacloban City Airport after the medical examination. – BiliranIsland.com
