NAVAL, Biliran, June 11, (BDEO) – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)- Biliran District Engineering Office(DEO) has cleaned up the muddy road along the road sections in Brgy. Sabang, Naval and Brgy. Pili in Almeria, Biliran.
The mud at the roadway along these road sections is posing danger to the travelling public especially when it is raining.
Recently, a motorist has encountered minor accident on one of these road sections due to the slippery surface of the road caused by the washed out mud from the stockpiled borrow materials.
District Engineer David P. Adongay Jr. said that Biliran DEO has immediately deployed its maintenance personnel headed by Engr. Glenda Dagalea, Chief of Maintenance Section to remove the stockpiled materials.
With the use of DPWH maintenance equipment, maintenance personnel clears the muddy road along Brgy.Pili road section on Saturday, June 8 and at Brgy. Sabang section on Monday, June 10.
“We do not want to wait another accident to happen, the safety of the travelling public is our utmost priority,” said Adongay.
